Quick and Easy (5 minute) Halloween card

Hey friends!

I came up with this beautiful card that was inspired by the movie The Book of Life. If you haven't seen it, watch it this Halloween! (or Day of the Dead, Nov. 1st) It's a GORGEOUS movie that is fun for kids AND adults...those are my favorite kinds. ;) I'm always searching for a good non-scary Halloween movie, and I HIGHLY recommend this one! (And no, they didn't pay me to advertise, I really do love it!) So, the card was made not necessarily to celebrate Halloween, but it's a fun seasonal way to tell my husband how much I appreciate him. He really is awesome. Just like in the movie, he steals my heart again and again. Ok, enough with the goo-goo eyes, we've got work to do! (Bonus points for naming that movie! Yes, we watch a LOT of animated movies around here!)

One thing I didn't point out in the video, is that when you tap off the embossing powder, you may need to brush any excess powder off. Just use a dry paper towel or brush... I wonder if the embossing buddy works on that. It's usually so humid here that I don't need to use it, but I'm going to try it and let you know!

Anyway, thanks again for stopping by! Here is a complete list of products I used to make the card. If you purchase $25 worth through my online store before November 6th using hostess code: 32JVXVS7 I will send you a fun surprise!

It's not too late to get your Halloween on!  Join me for a "virtual party" on Tuesday October 11th ! You guys are gonna LOVE this!!!

Here's one project we're going to make:

The best part is that ALL make & take supplies are included (YES, the frame is included!!!) with any order of $25 or more if you use hostess code: MBXA3QDS at checkout! SHOP NOW or during the virtual party! This offer and hostess code is good until Friday October 14th at midnight.

Now...I LOVE Halloween projects, so I always look forward to the September Paper Pumpkin kit! This year was no exception! In fact, it was THE FIRST kit that I didn't know what was coming before I opened the box! I was HOPING for a Halloween kit, and OH MY GOODNESS did Stampin' Up! deliver!!! Seriously, EVERY Halloween kit has been one of my favorites!!! Even better, these ADORABLE containers can be used for ANYTHING!!! I'm planning on SOOOOO many different holidays with them! I may or may not have already ordered several refill kits. :) I absolutely LOVE the pre-printed Halloween tags. I kinda wish they were part of the stamp set! That cat and cauldron! Supah cute!  I know some of you are so not into Halloween.... we can still be friends. Seriously, this kit is ALL about those adorable test tubes! You can use them for ANY occasion!!!

Unfortunately, I haven't had time to put anything together yet, but I DID make the case insert. I posted it in THIS facebook group but figured there were some of you who might not have seen it yet. So here you go! If you have any questions on printing, PLEASE post them in that group and as a community we can get it all figured out for you!!! Thanks again for stopping by!!!

Paper Pumpkin August 2016: Botanical Blooms

Whoa NELLIE! This has been a CRAZY week! Because school started back up and I would have one less person in the house during the day, I had the crazy idea that it was time to paint the house. NOT my best decision! Well, the paint was a great decision, the timing? Not so much!!! Needless to say, we made it through the week, and the unscheduled illness (which I should have predicted! School=germ factory!!!) The painting is done, and I FINALLY have a case insert to share with you!

Before we get to it though, I want to apologize, because my original plan was to email this out to everyone who signed up on the ***NEW LIST*** right over there ---------------->
but since life happens, and I didn't get around to it, I'm going to do a ***GIVEAWAY*** instead!!!!! If you've already signed up on the NEW LIST, good news! you're already entered! If you haven't signed up yet, you have until 10AM Saturday (Sept. 3rd) morning to do so!

You'd think with all the organizing you, my friends, do with these case inserts, I'd be a little more organized than I am. Well, I'm organizing my leftover Paper Pumpkins this week and I'll be giving away a paper pumpkin refill kit! Maybe even two! Maybe even a full kit! Who knows??? You'll have to check back on Monday (September 5th) to find out! That gives me a deadline to get it all organized! :) Anyway, this giveaway is my little way to say thank you for visiting my blog, and for your GENEROUS comments! Give yourself a hug and a thank you from me!!! (And signup so you can win some Paper Pumpkin goodies!)

Oh! And something else exciting! My computer crashed and deleted everything (not exciting) so I had to start from scratch with the case inserts! The exciting part is that I think I fixed the sizing problem. It SHOULD fit perfectly now! You may notice a few other minor design changes, but nothing big. Please let me know if this size works better for you for printing! I'm hoping it does!

While I LOVE this stamp set, I wasn't in love with all the paper pieces in the kit, so I changed it a little, and came up with this, which I like a lot better:

I just stamped directly on the card base instead of the square piece of designer paper and die-cut it instead with the Leaflets Framelits Dies! I love it! Sometimes with the Paper Pumpkin kits, you might get a kit that you aren't in LOVE with, so think of it as a challenge to turn it into something you DO love! Whether it's a color change, a shape change (like this one for me!) a focal point change, a layout change, adding a layer, adding an embellishment, etc. etc. (you get the idea!)
